HOW TO USE

Insert the injector nozzle into the Varroa Easy Check, dispense the CO2 for 5-6 seconds to put the bees to sleep, shake the container to allow the varroa to be sieved from the bee sample.

Put the bees back in the hive, they will recover within a few minutes.

INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

  • screw the metal nozzle to the injector

  • unscrew the main body of the injector and screw tightly

HOW TO USE THE CO2 INJECTOR WITH VARROA EASY CHECK:

  • collect 200/300 adult bees with the perforated basket, preferably from a honeycomb containing capped brood

  • put the perforated basket INVERTED in the transparent container and push it until it unlocks

  • place the yellow lid on top of the transparent plastic container keeping it slightly raised so as to be able to insert the injector nozzle in the gap between the cap and the cup. Inject the CO2 into the container by gently pressing the injector trigger for approximately 5 seconds. Quickly screw on the yellow cap and wait about 10 seconds for the CO2 to narcotize the bees.

  • turn Varroa Easy Check upside down and shake gently for about 15 seconds with a rotary motion so as not to harm the bees. The varroa will detach from the adult bees and fall through the holes in the basket directly into the yellow cap.

  • keeping Varroa Easy Check upside down, unscrew the yellow cap and count the mites present. Return the sampled bees to the hive and eliminate the collected mites properly, bearing in mind that they are still alive.
