Another use made by the bees of propolis is to cover the inner walls of the hive and the cells of the honeycombs with the aim of making the environment aseptic and prepare it for laying eggs.

Propolis is a product that bees obtain by foraging, i.e. collecting, the resins from the buds or bark of different trees
such as poplars, birches, firs, pines, alders, oaks, etc...
Resins are usually collected during the hottest hours of the day, when the material is easily malleable.
Resins are stored in baskets, a flat area rich in bristles in the posterior legs of the bee in balls called curbicolette, as is the case with the transport of pollen.
